Templates can be updated by the Company Admin and the Company Users. Each update creates a new "revision" of the template. Over time, different Company Users may feel that the old revision they were using is more suitable for their work than the new updated revision.

When this occurs, the Company Admin can duplicate a previous revision. This will leave the most up to date revision available to the Company Users but also give them access to the older revision. Giving some of the Company Users the best of both worlds.

To duplicate the older revision, first find the RAMs Template. The search bar within the template area can help locate a specific template.

The updates made to a template can be tracked from within the templates "history". To access the history, select the actions button on the right-hand side and then select the "History" action.

The history will show each time the template has been used, duplicated, archived, and edited. Each time the document has been edited, a new revision is created, and the below line entry will display.

NOTE: The line entry below a "Template has been made live" entry will display who created or edited the template, which has then created this revision.

To check which revision of the template the line entry relates to, select the action button on the right-hand side and then choose "more information".

A small window will then appear with the additional information, including the "revision number".

If this is the revision which needs to be duplicated, close the pop-up window with the X in the top right corner and then select the action button again. To duplicate, select the "Duplicate" action.

To help differentiate the original from the duplicated revision, the system will ask for a new "Template name". To complete the duplication, enter a unique template name and then select "Confirm".

After entering the name, the system will display step 1 of creating a template. It is recommended the Company Admin goes through each step in the template to make sure the information is still accurate.

To save any changes made, select the "Save and Return" button at the bottom right. The duplicated template will now be available to the Company Users.
