RAMs App templates should be reviewed and updated on a regular basis. Each update creates a new "revision" of the Template. There may be times where the update causes a Template to no longer be useful for certain tasks, whereas the older revision worked very well.

Where this happens, an older revision of the Template can be duplicated. This will create a brand-new template with the same content as the duplicated revision.

To do this, locate the RAMs Template which has been updated. The search bar above the "Current Templates" table can help with this.

Each template has its own card, which has an actions button at the top right. Selecting the actions button will load the action menu. Every template has a "history", which tracks when the template is used and when it was updated. This is also the area where the older revision can be duplicated. To view the history, select the "History" action.

When the template is first created and each time it is updated, a line entry showing the template was made live will appear in the history. To see which revision of the document this line entry relates to, select the "more information" action from the action menu.

The system will then load a small pop-up window with additional information. At the bottom of this window you will find the "Revision number". It also provides extra information such as who edited the template and when. Use this "more information" action to find the "live" line entry related to the correct revision number.

Once located, select the action button for the line entry and this time select the "Duplicate" action.

The system will then ask for a Template Name, this must be unique. Entering a new name for the duplicate will also help differentiate between the updated revision and this older revision that is being restored. After entering a new name, select the "confirm" button.

The webpage will now load into step one of creating a Template. The contents should be reviewed to make sure it has everything that is needed.

NOTE: The reference number will be the same as the updated revision, it can help to change this too to further highlight it is a different revision of the document.

After checking each step, the old revision will now be duplicated and avaialble from the "Current Templates" table.
