To add vibrating tools and equipment into the company database, select the HAVs & Noise module from the left-hand menu.

This module has two tabs. One for the Tools and Equipment and another for the Assessments. To add a new Tool or Equipment, make sure the “Tools and equipment” tab is selected.

Then to add the item, select the “Add a tool or equipment” button at the top right.

Now enter the information required for the tool or equipment. We recommend using the Manufacturer's technical information sheet for this information or the most up to date records following any individual noise and vibration testing of the tool or equipment.

 

The information needed is:

 

  1. Description of the tool/equipment
  2. Manufacturer of the tool/equipment
  3. Model of the tool/equipment
  4. Equipment identification number - either the serial number or a company-specific asset number
  5. The level of vibration that it emits when in use.
  6. The level of noise that it emits when in use

Once this information has been added, select the "Create" button to enter the tool/equipment into the database for future assessments

The Tool/Equipment will now appear within the Tools and Equipment tab in the HAVs & Noise module.
