The information used within a previously created COSHH Assessment can be re-used or edited to save time and reduce duplication of previous information.
Search for the COSHH Assessment using the search bar towards the top right of the screen.
Once the COSHH assessment has been located, to review the assessment, select the action button at the top right of the card. Then select the “Review” action.
The COSHH review page will show the main COSHH assessment details (Step 1 and 2 of the COSHH Assessment process) and the activities/scenarios that have previously been assessed.
To update the entire COSHH Assessment and/or add a new Activity/exposure scenario, select the "Edit" button to be taken to step 1 of the COSHH Assessment process and edit the details entered previously and add a new Exposure scenario (Step 3).
The COSHH review dashboard also shows all previous Activities/Exposure scenarios linked with this substance, they can be found just below the COSHH Assessment section:
To update an Activity/Exposure scenario, select the "Edit" button within the "Substance Name" activities section.
NOTE: Activities can be removed from the final document by deselecting the tick box on the left of the activity.
When editing an activity, step 3 of the COSHH assessment will be loaded.
Once the activity has been edited to reflect how the work is being done, select the "Save and Return" button to edit the assessment and return to the COSHH review dashboard.
If another Activity/Exposure Scenario is needed, select the "Update Activity" button and the User will be taken to Step 4, Activity review where an additional Activity/Exposure scenario can be added.
Once the changes have been made and saved, the new version of the COSHH assessment can be downloaded or emailed using the actions at the top right of the review page.
