A COSHH assessment can be added from the Review page for a RAMs document.
Below the “Risk Assessment and Method Statement” section, there is a “COSHH Assessments” section. To add a COSHH assessment to the RAMs document, select the “Add COSHH” button.
The COSHH Assessment module will load showing all the COSHH assessments created within the system. Existing COSHH assessments can be selected using the actions button at the top right of their cards. Selecting the action button will load a menu, to use an existing COSHH assessment, select the “Review” action.
NOTE: If the COSHH assessment has not already been created, a new COSHH assessment can be created using the “Create New COSHH” button above the existing assessments.
If an existing COSHH assessment has been selected, it is recommended the assessment should be reviewed. This can be done by selecting the action button on the right, then selecting edit. This will allow the four steps to be reviewed, as some details may need to change for this specific RAMs document. E.g. location of substance use.
To return to the RAMs document review page, select the "Link COSHH to RAMs document" button at the top right of the COSHH review page.
The COSHH Assessment will then appear on the RAMs document review page and be part of the document when it is emailed or downloaded.
