To Edit an existing COSHH Assessment template from RAMs App Substance register, first make sure to select the “Substance Register” tab.
NOTE: If the substance has already been assessed, it will instead be under the “Assessments” tab.
To find the correct substance, enter the substance name in the search bar at the top right.
Each substance card has an actions button at the top right. The substance assessment details can be edited from the review page. Select the actions button, then select “Review”.
The assessment review page will then load. Showing the substance in the “COSHH Assessments” section. To edit the details, select the action button on the right-hand side. Then select edit.
When editing an existing COSHH assessment from the RAMs App substance library, the user will find that information has been already entered in step 1 and 2. This information can be edited based on the COSHH Assessor's knowledge.
The only 2 fields that cannot be edited are the Substance Name and the Manufacturer
After checking the information in steps 1 and 2 are correct, to finalise the COSHH assessment the user will continue to step 3 to add usage details.
NOTE: More than one set of usage details can be added in step 4 when reviewing the overall assessment.
Once complete, the assessment will show up as a new card within the “Assessments” tab of the COSHH Assessment module.
