To add a Hazard, head to the risk assessment and method statement tab on the Left-Hand Side of the Dashboard as you look at the screen:
A Dropdown Menu will appear. Please select "Risk Assessment" to be taken to the next screen where new risk assessments can be linked to Hazards and added to your company database:
A table which contains all Risk Assessment templates within your company account is displayed. To Add a Risk Assessment, Select the "Add Risk Assessment" button:
Now take the following steps:
1. Select the Hazard Group that you would like to link the risk assessment to.
2. Select the Hazard that you would like to link the risk assessment to
3. Type in a description of the hazard that is being risk assessed into the Text Field.
4. Identify who might be harmed by the hazard - If you need to add a specific category of person to this list such as children, elderly or those with impaired mobility etc. Please select other and a text field will appear where you can enter this specific information.
After you have inputted this information, you need to give the hazard a risk rating. Select the red coloured box and a table will appear so that you can select the risk rating based on the severity of what could happen multiplied by the likelihood that it will happen.
Type information on what the risks are (What could happen) to the persons who could be harmed and information which describes what you have done to reduce the risks associated with this hazard to the persons who could be harmed:
Now, give the hazard a residual risk rating. This is a risk rating which takes into account the level of risk AFTER all of the control measures that you have added have been put in place.
Finally, mark the risk assessment as "Visible" so that it appears in Company User accounts. If you do not finish the Risk Assessment or would like to Save and return to this risk assessment at a later date, select the button as "Not Visible"
Now select the "Save" button to complete the risk assessment.
The new Risk Assessment will now appear in the Risk Assessment table and visible to all Company Users when creating RAMs documents.
